I am 28 years old. I have a wonderful wife of 6 years and two beautiful daughters. Sarah born in 2006, and Cadence in 2009. I have definitely got to give them props for their understanding support of my career, hobbies and ministry.
Although living in Wilkes County NC, I am currently living a dream as a career firefighter in Kernersville, NC. I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics in 2004. I have been a minister since I was 15 years old. While preaching at several different churches, the Lord blessed me to take my ministry and combine two of my favorite hobbies, hunting and preaching. What a combination! The combination has led to a ministry in which I am the guest speaker at Christian Sportsmen Banquets all over the United States.
At the ripe ol age of 8, I can remember chasing bushy tails (squirrels) through the hillsides and mountains of Wilkes. This is where the addiction began! Squirrel hunting stemmed into deer hunting. I harvested my first deer when I was 12 years old, setting beside of my dad. Deer hunting stemmed into Turkey hunting, where I quickly found myself obsessed! Harvesting my first turkey when I was 16 the obsession grew! I found myself competing in turkey calling contest when I was 18 years old.
Due to this passion, I am a Elite Team Member with Ol Tom Technical Turkey Gear. While representing these companies, I have been blessed to win several NC state championships including friction and open division championships, owl hooting championships, and gobbling championships. I have won or placed in the top three in over 60 turkey calling contest across the United States. The largest of my accomplishments coming this year, the Lord blessed me to place in three major turkey calling contest. 2nd place in The US Open Championships, 5th place in the National Championships and I was blessed to win the World Friction Calling Championships. In 2010 I was crowned NWTF Grand National Turkey calling Champion.
Now pro staffing with ADRENALINE ADVENTURES TV, I will be able to share my hunts with others to enjoy! I cant wait to see where the future leads!
